Wix’s emergency surgery
Wix’s emergency surgery
Last night darling Wix ate his dinner and was fine. Later in the night I was rushing him to Advanced Vet Care – he was in a huge amount of pain. We waited two hours to be seen, as it was a busy night and the lovely staff admitted him straight away. About 10 mins ago I got the diagnosis. Wix has a mature mucocele – and he is being prepared for emergency surgery now. He will have his gall bladder removed, but there is peritonitis (infection) in the area – and this is not good.
They have given Wix a 50% chance of survival.
My special darling heart’s surgery costs with before and after treatment is going to be around $8,000. So I guess I need help again. I hope you can help – I am lost for words – but I will update you later.
Hugs and love to you all,
Kae x

Bambi’s surgery
Bambi’s surgery
Bambi’s health has been up and down since she arrived with us, between diabetes, thyroid issues, vision problems and now gallbladder problems. Aside from her meds for diabetes and thyroid, she’s been on meds for months to try to clear the sludge from her gallbladder, but specialists have now decided it’s time to have it removed. Hopefully this will get Bambi back on track and feeling really good again. We’re very hopeful this will finally stabalise her.
And so – we humbly ask – if you are able to help us, we would be grateful. Thank you.

Help us help Maud
Help us help Maud
Maud needs specialist assessment to see if we can repair an expected eptopic urethra – she continually leaks urine. At just 5 months of age, we so hope to be able to fix her issue for her. Maud is a joint rescue between Rescued With Love and New Beginnings Animal Rescue. Together and with the help of our village we will give her the best chance.
And so – we humbly ask – if you are able to help us, we would be grateful. Thank you.

Help us with Juniper and Others in and coming into care
Help us with Juniper and Others in and coming into care
How do we ask for help – you already donate so much to us. I find this so incredibly difficult. So without a lot explaining, I will give you an example. Juni’s chemotherapy alone is over $1100 a week. She is having her second treatment today. We have two more booked and maybe more after that.
And so – we humbly ask – if you are able to help us, we would be grateful. Thank you.

Restoring Jimmy’s Eyesight
Restoring Jimmy’s Eyesight
Jimmy and his brother Gimmo came to us when their Dad passed away. It is always the hardest of times – and even harder for Jimmy who relies on his brother to help him get around as Jimmy has cataracts.
After doing all his regular vet work of desexing, vaccinating, dentals etc and recovering – we made an appointment with the lovely ladies at Melbourne Eye Vet. And the news is positive.
We CAN restore Jimmy’s eyesight. How incredible and what a world of difference it will make for him.
But can you imagine the difference in getting these two bonded boys a new home – if both of them can see? It opens up more opportunities – and that is what we are all about. Giving the best chance, leaving nothing undone – raising the bar, no matter the price.
With Covid 19, people out of work, Christmas coming – we aren’t easy about asking you to donate, but we have paid this year over $100,000 in vet bills – and again, need help. We hope you don’t mind, and it is okay if you can’t. We get it.
The cost for Jimmy’s surgery is $5700.
If you can help us – we would be utterly thrilled, and as you know more than grateful. And you know all the money donated always goes to the dogs.
So if you can help Jimmy we would be so very grateful.
Any donations above the goal amount may be used towards other costs for other Rescued With Love dogs, or those in urgent need in our community.
Chicken Little’s Vet Care
Chicken Little’s Vet Care
Our precious cargo Chicken Little is currently being cared for in Queensland, until the borders are open and we can get her down to Melbourne. She is receiving excellent Medical care.
She arrived with shockingly sore eyes, so bad we thought she would lose them but, treatment has began on her eyes and already they are looking so much better. She’s also a little wheezy and intial test show a raise in liver enzymes and an terribly infected mouth.
And so, she’s needed eye pressure tests, flourostain, schirmer tear tests, bloods urinalysis, xrays, vet stays, ultrasound and most if not all of her teeth extacted.
We need to get all of this sorted for her ASAP and have her pain free.
Her bill to date is over $800, we have been quoted at least another $4,000 – $6,000, but it could be double that depending on her mouth!
We’re asking for help to cover some of this.
If you are in a position to help us help Chicken Little, we would be ever so grateful.
N.B. in the case of more funds being raised that needed, any additional donations will be used to assist with vet bills of other animals either in our care or in need in the community.
