Hello lovely supporters – we have taken so many babies in over the past few weeks, we need help with our vet bills.  Normally we are okay but the level of care we provide is expensive and we hope you can help Benny, Bertie, Manny, Emmy, Gigi, Oliver, Maggie, and the foundation dogs in our care.

If you can donate towards the care – every $2 donation is tax deductible – and we can then move forward with the recovery and new lives of those in our Charity.  Kindest of thanks

The RWL

We have five little ones who have had, or will need a lot of medical treatment.  And of course, as always, RWL doesn’t take the easy cases – but rather we focus on those who require more.

Today – is going to be $7,000 Sunday for Sweeties who need support.

1. Winnie has had three massive surgeries.  She has spent time in the Emergency Centre, and the Vet clinic after her last major surgery as her recovery was not straight forward.

2. Oliver has had X-rays, had a dental to remove all of his teeth, has had multiple trips to the vets to help him when his pain has been so bad, he has been given strong opiates to help him. Not to mention the lump in his mouth removed and biopsied

3. Max who came last week has already had his first assessment consult.  He has had full bloods done and every time we do this with all of our dogs – it is a full wellness panel – sent away.  Max has a severe skin infection on his back where his coat was left on.  He will need a dental, and on going care.  Again $1400 will go a way to his treatment.

4. Millie.  Tomorrow Millie will have full bloods, and assessment on her heart (she has a heart murmur which could require an ultrasound, echocardiogram etc, and medication if required)  She has an infected mouth – so a full dental extraction which can be around $800 or more.

5. Button. Terrified of everything, matted beyond belief – this little soul has had her assessment.  The matting was cut off, and she has cataracts in both eyes with some vision.  She needs a dental.  One of her back legs doesn’t work properly – so X-rays are required.  She has a Melanoma on her leg, and a mammary tumour which indicates she might also need to be desexed.  Full bloods have been run. And there is little we can do for her broken tail.  $1400 should almost cover our first round of treatment for her.

We are Rescued With Love. We stare this stuff in the eye and say, “Let’s do it.”  With you.  Always with you.

Much love,
from the whole RWL Team. xxxx

Ruby’s surgery and major vet bills

Ruby’s surgery and major vet bills

$5,833 of $5,500 raised
Our bills at our three major vet clinics areMay be an image of dog
$3595.22
$4847.15
$5170.00
These are all discounted and we are thankful.
As well as those we have incidentals such as the Eye Specialists for a couple of bubs, that is $796.00 and $117.00 and another $700 to another vet for next months bill.
You can see it is going to clean us out pretty much, but we will be able to cover it. Just. And I want to thanks those who donate to us – every. single. day.
Ruby is booked in on 3 June for a CT scan at Advanced Vet Care. Once we know where the shunt is located (either outside her liver, or within it) we will go forward.
We are going to have to fundraise for the surgery alone will be $5500.
Here is the tricky part. IF Ruby has an internal shunt – no surgery can be done. She will in fact fail to thrive, become seriously ill and pass away. There are no options if this is the diagnosis.
So how do we fundraise $5500 (that is with a huge reduction) for Ruby – and she might not need it?
The only thing I can say is we will raise these funds for her and we’ll leave it to you to decide to donate. If it can’t go ahead and you want your money back then please let us know, or we will use the funds towards others needed our help. It is more than likely we won’t know until the day of the scan and they will take her into surgery straight after that. We’ll keep you updated.

Love to you all,

Kae x

Wix’s emergency surgery

Wix’s emergency surgery

$7,677 of $8,000 raised

Last night darling Wix ate his dinner and was fine.  Later in the night I was rushing him to Advanced Vet Care – he was in a huge amount of pain.  We waited two hours to be seen, as it was a busy night and the lovely staff admitted him straight away.  About 10 mins ago I got the diagnosis.  Wix has a mature mucocele – and he is being prepared for emergency surgery now.  He will have his gall bladder removed, but there is peritonitis (infection) in the area – and this is not good.

They have given Wix a 50% chance of survival.

My special darling heart’s surgery costs with before and after treatment is going to be around $8,000.  So I guess I need help again.  I hope you can help – I am lost for words – but I will update you later.

Hugs and love to you all,

Kae x
