Hazels eye surgery
Hazel is practically blind – but can see a bright future ahead of her. All we have to do is help her. Hazel had an eye specialist appointment and we are hopeful in restoring her vision in her blind eye. The other eye has a cataract forming – and is not ready to be removed yet – but probably be will be in the coming months or so.
To give Hazel the very best we can – we are going to do one surgery, and restore her eyesight, then, if she gets adopted – Rescued With Love will pay for her other eye surgery. Doing it this way is more expensive we know. But with the wonderful assistance of the Melbourne Eye Vet Clinic in Mulgrave they have given us a discount – we are able to do both surgeries according to Hazel’s needs. And that is what we want to do – care for her needs first.
If Hazel is adopted before she has her second surgery – RWL will pay for her second surgery as it is a pre-existing condition. This means Hazel won’t have to wait a long time in foster care – and can find her own loving family. It guarantees us that Hazel will be able to see for life.
The amount we are need is $7,292.00 for both eyes. Because you have other charities you donate too, as well as life’s spiralling costs we will try to raise $6,500 with your help.
We haven’t asked for donations or done a fundraiser since October last year, so you know this is important for us. We want to continue to help others, but we can’t if Hazel’s bill is substantial. With your understanding, compassion and love – we know you will be standing right beside us, and Hazel.
