Meet Bunny. A little stray whose owners never came. Undesexed, no microchip, no indentifcation collar, nothing. Bunny had done her time and no one collected her, so we did!
Bunny is about 3 years of age and just a heartbeat!!! She is THE most divine and gentle little ganoush sweetie, and it was SUCH a pleasure to do my job today, when at other times it is extremely stressful. Bunny and I rode in the car together to the vet clinic, sun shining, music in the background and had a great time. At the clinic, she meet all the staff who could not believe this little girl was abandoned. She is BEAUTIFUL!
Bunny is very matted (to the skin) and is seething with fleas, so a nice groom first, then a flea and worm treatment, and then she will be desexed, (she was already vaccinated) heartworm tested and chipped. We are taking an X-ray of her back hip area where there is a lump the size of a walnut, quite hard, right over the top of her hip socket joint. We dont know whether her hip is dislocated (she is not in pain at all) or it has been injured and created a lump of scar tissue, but either way, we want to see what we are dealing with! Bunny will come into care later tomorrow evening after all her vet work and grooming is done, then onward and upward for this little girl!
In the car on the way to the clinic.
Bunny getting her hips and patellas checked by vet Jarrett.
Bunny, waiting patiently in the consult room as we finish off listing her surgery items for tomorrow.
Can you be any cuter???
