Alice was licked the day she came to us with a broken jaw and cancer. But she saw her journey through, no matter what.
Alice so desperately wanted to live, but her body was broken and although all she wanted in the end was me to cuddle her , I could no longer allow her to suffer. I had to make the decision for her and like everyone who goes through this, am feeling the guilt and grief badly right now, no matter that it was to stop her pain. She is now with her sisters, Cricket, Dolly and little Flossie. I don't think I can say goodbye to Baby Pal right now, but wanted to let everyone her loved her to know that there will be another very bright star in the evening sky tonight.

We have been watching closely for your regular updates and we share your hurt at this terrible time. It really is an extreme pain that such a loss brings. Memories of Alice will stay with you forever.
I only knew Alice through this lovely website and I've never met you Kae but my heart goes out to you. I know the dreadful pain of saying goodbye to an adored pet - as I'm sure you do. How blessed was Alice to have you and your husband to love and care for her and to do the best thing for her at the end. She was such a character - I enjoyed following her antics in this diary. She is at peace now .Never forget how you changed her life - I shall look for her star.

Kae & Barry, I feel your loss and your pain, and although you feel terrible now about the decision you had to make, it was the best one for Alice.
Anyone who has had a loved fur baby, who tells you it's time knows how you feel.
God bless little Alice, what a wonderful end to your years you've, and you deserved it.

My heart is so full of love & sadness for Alice, what a little trooper she was, but also too, what a wonderful mum & dad she had ,who fought every inch of the way to keep her well. I know there is no easing your pain right now, but it was the right thing to do for Alice & forever we shall remember her & her spirit.God Bless baby, sleep tight ..xxxxxxxxx

I had not met Alice, but loved to follow her story through the updates and
the beautiful photos ................what a dear little treasure and an
inspiration she was ............my heart goes out to you, Kae - you and Barry
wrapped this little girl in love, so she has known the love of angels.

As a pet owner one of the hardest things to do is the right decision when the time comes, my heart goes out to you Kae and Barry you gave Alice so much love and care, her memories will stay with you forever, shine brightly little star in the sky

Thinking of you Kae, we all know that you made the right decision. With my eyes filled with tears, I can relate to the sadness you are feeling. Alice was loved and cared for and is no longer in pain. Take care, we are all thinking of you. x

Kae, I know how hurt you must be feeling and I've been anticipating this news as everyone else has, and knowing the time would come when you would have to say goodbye to Baby Pal. You have done an extraordinary thing in giving her the most wonderful time for her last year of life. She clearly adored you and Barry and what a lucky girl she was to be in your care.
