Imogene survived heart surgery today

Good news.  Imogene our little 18 month old Shih Tzu survived heart surgery for PDA (patent ductus arteriosus)  To say we are relieved is an understatement!

 

Imogene was originally adopted from the pound and then taken back by her owner when it was discovered she had a heart condition.  We took her into care and have had the surgery done which means Imogene will leave a normal, long and happy life from here on!

 

She is recovering in the Vet Clinic, and should be allowed home tomorrow with all going well, then about 6 full days of recovery before she is allowed to commence doing normal doggie things.

 

We would like to thank Dr. Sam Snelling for his amazing kindness and for helping us to give Imogene a life she can now enjoy.

 

More updates and photographs will be coming tomorrow, we will update you then.
